How To Use Smooth Scrolling in Outlook Express

This setting controls whether smooth scrolling is used when viewing messages in Microsoft Outlook Express 5.0 and 6.0.

Open your registry and find or create the key below.

Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value, called “SmoothScroll” and set it according to the value data below.

Exit your registry; you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.

Note: This feature may slow down Outlook Express when navigating messages with lots of graphics.

User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{Unique Identity}\Software\Microsoft\
Outlook Express\5.0\Trident\Main]
Value Name: SmoothScroll
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)
