Avril Lavigne does some shopping at Barney’s New York in Hollywood

Getting away from her punk girl roots, Avril Lavigne was spotted doing some shopping at Barney’s New York in Beverly Hills yesterday (December 13).

The “Sk8er Boi” songstress looked to be having a good time as she browsed the racks at the swanky department store while sporting a black knit hat and sunglasses.

And as the first decade of the 2000s comes to an end, Avril has been honored by being named to the Rolling Stone reader’s poll top 10 lists.

Ms. Lavigne scored the #8 spot for best single (Complicated) as well as the #4 slot for best album (Let Go).
