Zooey Deschanel attends a benefit for the Humane Society hosted by Vanity Fair Cotton

Drawing a crowd for a good cause, Zooey Deschanel held a benefit for The Humane Society of the U.S. on Saturday night (December 12).

The “Elf” actress along with sister and “Bones” actress, Emily, hosted the event in collaboration with Vanity Fair with a bevy of celebs making an appearance including Ginnifer Goodwin and “Burn Notice” star, Gabrielle Anwar.

In related news, Zooey recently joined the cast of the hit Fox show, “Bones” in which she guest starred as the cousin of her real life sister, Emily, who stars as Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan.

Furthermore, Ms Zooey also has a comedy film in post-production called “Your Highness” which is due out October 2010.
